Neal Hansch serves as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Partner at Silicon Foundry. He served as Incubator Managing Director at Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology. Previously, he served as a Principal at Saints Capital. He served as a Partner at Rustic Canyon Partners. He brings several years of experience in venture capital, technology operations and investment banking. Before joining Rustic Canyon, he worked in the Corporate Development group at Macromedia, where he was responsible for executing worldwide M&A transactions and strategic equity investments. Prior to Macromedia, he was at Technology Crossover Ventures, where he focused on investments in the software, networking infrastructure and e-commerce industries. He has also worked in Product Marketing at webMethods (Nasdaq: WEBM), a leading enterprise application integration company, and co-founded a start-up that provides popular software extensions for Web development tools. He began his career as a financial analyst in the Software Group at Robertson Stephens, where he worked with clients such as BEA, BroadVision, HNC, Hyperion, Informatica and Intuit. He also served as a Board Member at Cashie Commerce and UrbanSitter. He received his M.B.A. with distinction from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he was a Deutschman Venture Fellow. He also received Bachelor Degrees in Economics and Psychology from Duke University.
Doug Hurd is a Co-Founder and serves as Board Member and Executive Vice President of Business Development at clypd. He leads by example with extensive experience striking deals with customers and partners that help fuel the company's growth. Previously Doug was Director of Business Development at PayPal Mobile where he was responsible for executing strategic partnerships to accelerate PayPal's off-line mobile payment initiative by expanding the penetration of PayPal's mobile products across devices, platforms and POS solutions. Prior to PayPal Doug was VP of Business Development at WHERE, Inc. which was acquired by PayPal in April 2011. Doug had the privilege of spearheading the early corporate development efforts that eventually lead to the sale of the company. At WHERE, he was responsible for forging partnerships across the mobile ecosystem to embed WHERE in mobile devices and managing the 3rd party content partnerships with a particular emphasis on monetization through subscription, search, advertising and mobile commerce. This effort included strategic partnerships with Tier 1 wireless carriers and OEM's. These partnerships grew WHERE's top line revenue from $2M to $28M in less than three years. Prior to joining WHERE, Doug worked for Tele Atlas-now a division of TomTom-where he played an instrumental role in the growth of the company's consumer wireless and Internet business. Doug holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont's School of Business Administration.
Steve Russell is a Silicon Valley veteran with 15 years of experience in building and managing disruptive content networking, video search, and video intelligence technology companies. Steve is CEO and Founder of Prism Skylabs, the global leader in visually understanding and optimizing offline commerce. Its unique cloud service transforms any video camera into a visual merchandising, auditing, and business intelligence tool that can be accessed from any device. Prior to Prism Skylabs, Steve served as the CEO and Chairman of 3VR, the world's leading video intelligence company, which he founded in 2002. In less than 10 years, Steve took 3VR from a small group of engineers working in his basement to an industry leader serving global customers including Wells Fargo, T-Mobile, GAP, Hilton, and many more of the world's leading brands. Before 3VR, Steve was VP and GM of the Content Networking group at Internet search giant Inktomi. In 2000, Inktomi Acquired eScene Networks, a consumer video management platform company he founded. In addition, he also served as managing partner at USWeb/CKS (later marchFIRST) and President of a pioneering Silicon Valley ISP. Steve is an early investor and advisor to a number of companies across the video intelligence, social media and analytics spaces, including StumbleUpon, LongTail Video, MesmoTV, Qumu, OpenDNS and UberCab, among others. He also sits on the Board of the Center for Secure Information Technologies and is an active speaker and writer, posting frequently on his blog, InHardFocus.com, which explores the many intersections of technology and society. Steve holds 11 patents and was named #8 in the American Venture's Top 40 under 40™ list. He Studied Economics and Computer Science at Stanford University, where he graduated with honors and distinction and was the recipient of the university's Anna Laura Meyers prize for outstanding research.
Gerben Visser is the Founder of The FinTech Consortium, a FinTech incubator and Founding Partner of InQvest Partners, a dedicated FinTech VC firm. The FinTech Consortium provides Corporate Incubation, FinTech Research and Venture Acceleration and incubated Bahrain FinTech Bay, BlockCon, InsurByte, RegPac and has offices in Singapore, New York and Bahrain. He is a founding board member of Singapore FinTech Association (“SFA”), Co-Founder of IncubAsia Ventures and an advisor to a number of early stage technology companies. He has gained over 12 years of international experience in mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance at RBS, Bank of America and Citigroup in Amsterdam, New York and London. He received a Masters degree in Business (Finance & Economics) from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and dual Masters degree in Business (Finance & Economics) from Skema, a Grande Ecole Superieure de Commerce in France. Gerben is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and has been a registered Securities & Regulations, Corporate Finance Advisor with the Financial Services Authority in the UK. He obtained a FinTech certificate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (“MIT”).
