SEED Capital is Denmarks biggest venture capital fund within the seed segment and specializes in identifying, financing and developing competent and innovative entrepreneurial companies. SEED Capital also manages public funds via a strategic corporation with the innovation incubator Pre-Seed Innovation. Public funding allows SEED Capital to invest in start-ups in the early stages, and private venture capital is invested in the most successful companies in subsequent investment rounds. This business model allows them to invest earlier than most VC companies and to provide substantially more capital than most seed investors. SEED Capital invests in approximately 15 new promising growth companies every year. This is based on a screening of more than 500 business proposals every year and meetings with more than 100 of these opportunities to further investigate or advice on the suggested business ventures. Besides investment SEED Capital assists portfolio companies with value-generating activities such as management support, business development, organizational and strategic development, marketing, and ad hoc operational, financial, and legal assistance.


Seven Peaks Ventures

Seven Peaks Ventures is an early stage venture capital firm founded in 2013 with locations in Bend, Portland, and Seattle. The firm invests in AI/ML driven B2B and enterprise software and in specific market verticals such as FinTech, Real Estate Tech, HR Tech, Med Tech, and Digital Health.


Compass Partners

Compass Partners is a merchant banking and investment advisory firm founded in 1997. Compass focuses on investing in middle market companies and corporate restructuring. The firm has an interest in investing in global infrastructure, aerospace and defense, capital goods, industrial and consumer products, retail and business services. Compass has built a transatlantic franchise with transactions in excess of $2.7 billion, of which $1 billion represents secondary directs. Deals typically include at least three businesses and deal size ranges from $100 million to $800 million. The first Compass fund focused on European industrial assets and deployed $850 million in seven investments (comprising 15 transactions) and returned $1.6 billion to its investors.


Baiada Institute

In March 2001, the Baiada Institute opened its state-of-the-art entrepreneurial environment at Drexel University in Philadelphia. The Baiada Institute contains incubation space for student teams creating businesses while at Drexel, including private, dedicated workstations that are awarded to teams based on winning the Business Plan Competition and/or exceptional merit and progress in turning ventures into realities. Baiada Recently, the Baiada Business Incubator Competition launched a pre-incubation program for up to five teams made up of current or former students who are interested in competing in the Incubator Competition.


WRF Capital

WRF Capital is the venture capital arm of Washington Research Foundation and it specializes in early-stage investments. The firm focuses on investing in companies based in Washington. While actively seeking investments in companies operating in life sciences and enabling technologies, the firm on an exceptional basis invest in companies in the physical sciences, energy, and information technology sectors. The firm was founded in 1981 and is based in Seattle, Washington.


Blue Water Angels

BlueWater Angels is a network of more than 30 high-net-worth individuals and organizations interested in investing private capital in promising companies. BlueWater Angels helps bring fresh ideas, jobs and business growth to mid-Michigan through economic prosperity and follow-up investment. In its first year, BlueWater Angels received funding requests from over 100 companies, reviewed nearly 40 in detail, heard presentations from a dozen companies, and closed its first investment in a mid-Michigan-based advanced materials company. The amount of investment capital available for annual investments now tops $1.4 million and is only expected to grow.
