Brett Topche

Brett Topche is a Co-Founder and serves as Partner at Red & Blue Ventures. Brett Topche serves as Managing Director at MentorTech Ventures. He also serves as Advisor at entreprenYOURS. Prior to joining MentorTech, he was a member of the Fund Investments Team at Hamilton Lane Advisors, a fund-of-funds manager and private equity investment consultant. In this capacity, he evaluated private equity funds across a broad spectrum of stages and strategies on behalf of both discretionary and non-discretionary clients. During his time at Hamilton Lane, Topche reviewed more than 100 funds, including venture capital, mezzanine, buyout and real estate funds. Based in part on reports he drafted, more than $1 billion was invested into these funds. Prior to working for Hamilton Lane, Topche spent more than four years as an Associate with NJTC Venture Fund, where he focused on investments in early-stage companies in the software, Internet and communications sectors. His responsibilities included deal flow generation, initial company reviews, performing due diligence on potential investments, participating in deal structuring, reviewing legal documentation and working with companies post-investment, occasionally as an Observer on Boards of Directors. Topche is a magna cum laude graduate of the Wharton School, with a B.S. in Economics, with concentrations in Finance and Legal Studies and a Political Science minor from the College and Arts and Sciences.

Paul Palmieri

Paul Palmieri plays a dual role of investor and advisor to seed and venture stage companies. He serves as both a General Partner of Grit Capital, a NY and Maryland based early-stage fund, and as Venture Partner at BlueRun Ventures in Menlo Park, California. He focuses on data and AI based businesses in the areas of consumer software, marketing technology, media, and commerce. Prior to Millennial Media, he held management positions at Verizon (NYSE: VZ), Advertising.com (AOL), and Tessco Technologies (NASDAQ: TESS). He has been a frequent guest on CNBC, Fox Business, and Bloomberg Television, as an expert in user data, and the secular trend of mobile computing. Mr. Palmieri is the former Global Chairman of the Mobile Marketing Association, and served on the board of the Interactive Advertising Bureau. He is a current national judge for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year program, was a winner of the award in the technology category in 2011, and was named Executive of the Year in 2011 by the American Business Awards. Mr. Palmieri is a graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University, where he serves as a Trustee. He lives in Baltimore, Maryland with his wife and 2 children, and operates Grit Capital Partners out of New York City.


Sheryl Schultz

Sheryl Schultz is an expert in startup company dynamics, with a deep understanding of the marketing and organizational challenges faced by growing businesses. She has spent over 30 years working with a range of technology companies as a marketer, board advisor, mentor, and investor. In January 2014, Sheryl founded CabinetM, a discovery platform to empower the marketing technology industry. CabinetM has been funded by some of the most prolific angel investors in the Northeast. Sheryl is a member of Golden Seeds, an angel investment firm that supports diverse management teams with include female executives. She served for two years (2009-2011) as Golden Seeds’ Boston Forum Co-Leader, and subsequently ran deal flow for the organization in Boston.
