Alex Guerrero is a Principal at Act One Ventures, a community focused, early-stage micro-vc fund based in Los Angeles. Previously, Alex was the co-founder & CEO of Uniq Apps, Inc., a SaaS platform for encrypted work messaging. Prior to Uniq, he was the co-founder of Live Entertainment Network, an HTML5 interactive video player platform that helped artists monetize live shows on a “premium-content-only” destination. He has over 10 years of experience in strategy, business, product development, digital media, start-ups and music.
Jon Vlassopulos is the founder and CEO of Trailerpop, where he leads a mission to revolutionize the way people discover entertainment and engage with advertising. Jon has spent the last 17 years building businesses in and around the mobile, entertainment and advertising industries and as a founder, senior executive, investor and advisor, his work has driven hundreds of millions of dollars worth of innovation and delighted tens of millions of consumers. Prior to founding Trailerpop, Jon has served as CEO of award winning mobile entertainment studio skyrockit, where he managed major US carrier content platforms for companies like Sprint and built innovative branded entertainment products and experiences for companies like GAP, Intel, Coca Cola, Kraft and Zippo. Dubbed a digital media and advertising visionary by The Hollywood Reporter, Jon has created successful industry firsts in the areas of mobile, games, advertising, TV and music. Before skyrockit, Jon was the SVP of digital media and branded entertainment for Endemol, the world’s largest independent production company, where he was responsible for its worldwide digital & advertising business. Jon is credited with launching interactive TV in the US with shows like Deal or no Deal and 1 vs. 100 and with creating some of the first live, multi-platform game formats for networks like BET and TBS. He also produced games that were successful on multiple platforms including Xbox, online, and mobile and sold and produced some of the first online web series. Jon served as senior director of business development & strategic partnerships at AT&T Wireless, establishing the first phase of messaging and mobile data. At AT&T Jon ran the mobile content business and mobile marketing where he established the first mobile marketing campaigns with major brands and led the youth marketing team responsible for tracking and implementing new applications and business models Early in his career Jon was at Bertelsmann, where he helped to create BMG’s global digital strategy and held multiple executive positions with other Bertelsmann divisions in New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Jon has served on the board of NATPE, the Producer’s Guild and was a founding member of the Mobile Marketing Association. He holds a degree from Durham University and is fluent in French, Spanish and Mandarin. Jon got his start as a DJ and radio host, from where he nurtured his love of music & entertainment, building a career that blended interests in original content, emerging platforms and marketing innovation.
Adam Pisoni is a Co-Founder, President, Board Member & Chief Executive Officer at Abl. He formerly Co-Founded and served as CTO of the enterprise messaging company Yammer. He is a Mentor at Alchemist Accelerator. Adam Pisoni oversees engineering and the development of all software at Yammer. Before Yammer, Adam served as Software Architect at Geni - the company in which Yammer was originally created. Prior to Geni, Adam was Director of Web Engineering at Shopzilla, playing a pivotal role in systems architecture and product development. Adam also co-founded and served as CTO of Cnation, a web development consultancy with clients including CBS MarketWatch, BizRate.com, Fox Interactive, Nissan of Japan, and Honda. Cnation's work for Honda earned them the 1997 Clio award for interactive design.
Shruti Gandhi is the Founder and serves as Managing Partner at Array Ventures. She is an Angel Investor. Shruti brings a strong mix of operating and investing experience. Previously, Shruti was an early stage venture capital investor at True Ventures, Samsung Electronics, Lightbank, HighBAR Partners, and the i2A Fund. Shruti started working with Machine Learning algorithms while working on her master's thesis in computer science from Columbia University on understanding user behavior on instant messaging platforms. While at IBM she worked on self learning algorithms that detected user location based on IP addresses, which she later incorporated into the Lotus Sametime product. Later, her company Penseev helped users make better connections with their friends based on social data. When not investing, she is hacking on some app or thinking about ways she can be in many places at one time. Shruti also has an MBA from the University of Chicago, where she polished her finance skills before making the switch from engineer/founder to investor.
Greg Neufeld is the Founder and serves as Managing Partner at ValueStream Ventures. He also serves as an Advisor & Investor at ChartIQ. Greg co-managed a series of investment funds at SI Capital Management trading market index futures and options, before leaving to pursue entrepreneurship including stints at FailStation and as the co-founder of Freespeech, a consumer mobile messaging app.
Rishi Mallik started his career in the consumer internet space at companies like Mozilla and Cooliris (acquired by Yahoo). Rishi transitioned into the mobile space in 2007 and joined the founding team of Qik at the age of 21. At Qik, Rishi led Business Development closing deals with 6 of the 7 top mobile handset manufactures and 3 of the 4 top US mobile carriers. He later became the Head of Product for Qik and led the development and launch of the first mobile video chat application in the US (16M users). Qik was acquired by Skype for $150M and Rishi became the Principal Program Manager of Mobile for Skype. At Skype, he led video initiatives across all platforms including the launch of Skype Video Messaging (>250M users). Skype was acquired by Microsoft for $8.5B. Rishi graduated from Stanford University where he was the VP of the Business Association of Stanford Engineering Students. He has three patents in the mobile space, is on the Board of Advisors for two companies, and is an avid Bhangra dancer.
Tony Jamous is the co-founder and CEO of Nexmo, and has over 14 years of leadership experience in cloud, communication and mobile industries. At mBlox and Boku, Tony opened up global messaging and payment services. Tony holds a Masters in Computer Science from Grenoble Institute of Technology in France and an MBA from the International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland, with a focus on leadership development and organization behavior.
