Tekes was a venture capital firm which sought to provide funding to business development projects, scientific research organizations and public service providers. The firm sought to invest in companies based in Finland in their seed and early stages. It was founded in 1983 and is based in Helsinki, Finland. As of January 1st, 2018 Finpro - the Finnish trade promotion organization - and Tekes merged and is now formally known as Business Finland.

Scott still manages his portfolio on behalf of Lighthouse. Some of his high profile deals include Angie's List, Elance, J Hilburn, Serena & Lily, ZestCash and Zoosk. He's led 20+ deals and invested over $100M+ with $0 losses and a mid-teen's % IRR. In his spare time, Scott co-founded Ben's Friends, an Internet patient support community for people with rare diseases. Ben's Friends is a 501C3 non profit and has become one of the largest rare disease support communities on the Internet with 120,000 uniques last month (a 20% increase month over month). Both LinkedIn and Google have made sizable grants in the last two months to help Ben's Friends continue to grow. Prior to joining Lighthouse, Scott spent three years in Technology Mergers & Acquisitions at Hambrecht & Quist which was later acquired by JPMorgan Chase. Scott has an MBA from Kellogg, and an undergraduate business degree from CAL Berkeley. He also has a CFA and has passed the Series 7.
Sunny is a Partner at Endeavour Partners, a boutique strategy consulting firm. He has worked extensively with technology, media and telecommunication (TMT) service providers, device manufacturers and healthcare organizations in the US, Europe and Asia. Sunny has been a successful entrepreneur, strategic adviser, executive and angel investor throughout his career. Prior to joining Endeavour Partners, Sunny was a Founder and CEO of Context Connect, a wireless directory and connectivity solutions provider. Mr. Ahn co-founded Takeaclass, a database service company focused on providing marketing and procurement services for over 800 educational institutions, which was sold to Mindedge in 2001. Sunny has held senior consulting at GeoPartners Research (sold to Renaissance Worldwide in 1999), in key marketing roles at SAS and was a programmer within the Internal Medicine Department at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He has worked directly with the Department of Justice on anti-trust matters, Ofcom in the development of wireless directory and connectivity solutions in the UK telecommunication market as well as on public interest (healthcare, education, security) matters involving the US International Trade Commission (ITC). As an industry expert, Sunny has testified in front of the United States House of Representatives, Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet on the topic of private connectivity and directory services. Sunny holds three US patents in the area of private connectivity and mobile directory services. Sunny has held teaching and research positions at MIT, Harvard University and Yonsei University (Korea). He holds a Masters and Bachelors degree from Harvard University.
David is currently President and CEO of Ericom Software. Before Ericom, he was SVP of Global Service Providers for Symantec. David joined Symantec through the acquisition of Blue Coat Systems. He joined Blue Coat through the acquisition of Perspecsys, where he held the role of President and CEO. Previously, David was SVP Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Irdeto, a division of Naspers. Prior to that, David was the President of Cloakware, which was acquired by Irdeto. Before joining Cloakware, David was the General Manager and Vice President Sales for Cramer Systems (now Amdocs). He has held a variety of executive positions with the Oracle Corporation, Versatility and SAIC. David holds B.Sc. Biology and MA International Transactions degrees from George Mason University.
