Mohamed Hamdy

Mohamed Hamdy is the Head of Investments at the Dubai Future Foundation. He is also an Angel Investor. Prior to this role, Mohamed advised British Petroleum Ventures and Masdar on setting up the first startup accelerator focused on sustainability in the MENA region. He was also the founding Managing Director of the 'Turn8 Accelerator' based out of Dubai, and helped design and build several corporate accelerators in the MENA region. Mohamed started his career in private equity where he was investment director for a family Office in Abu Dhabi for 7 years, primarily managing portfolio and sourcing investment opportunities in diverse industries across the MENA region and Europe. Mohamed was also the founder and general manager of Tadawul, an online stock brokerage company based in Abu Dhabi in 2006. Mohamed is an investor in technology startups, including one in the renewable sector called 'Corvus Energy', which a lithium battery company based out of Vancouver that focuses on building energy storage systems.

Shan Mehta

Shan Mehta serves as Managing Partner at CITG Capitial. He serves as Partner at Trilogy Real Estate Group. He also serves as a Board Member at Little Switzerland. Shan also co-founded SnapUp and served as its Executive Officer and Board Member. Prior to CITG, Shan worked for GTCR, a Chicago-based private equity firm, where he focused on evaluating investments in software and business services. Prior to that, he worked at Morgan Stanley's Princes' Gate Investors fund in New York, where he focused largely on venture investing in areas such as data storage and enterprise software. Prior to that, Shan worked in investment banking with Morgan Stanley's Mergers, Acquisitions, and Restructurings group in New York. Shan received a BBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan Business School, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and with high distinction, and a MBA from INSEAD. He is an Angel Investor.

David Zhao

David Zhao is a Co-Founder and serves as the Chief Executive Officer Evie. He also is an Angel Investor. He serves as Senior Venture Partner at The Pioneer Fund. He is a technology entrepreneur. Prior to Voxel, he was the founder & CEO of ZumoDrive, a pioneer in mobile cloud storage and media streaming. He led ZumoDrive to a successful acquisition by Motorola Mobility where he then served as Director of Engineering. Before ZumoDrive, he was a lead software engineer at Amazon where he architected, built, and deployed scalable cloud services that powered Amazon's digital media products.

Windward Ventures specializes in early stage companies but it does not invest in seed stage companies. The main focus of investment lies on industries such as information technology, communication and telecommunication, electronics, broadband technologies, optoelectronics, semiconductors, systems engineering, software, Internet infrastructure, data storage, and medical devices sectors. David Lam

Before WI Harper, David was Vice President at The Carlyle Group where his investments included eScreen (Acquired by Alere), and prior to that, he headed business development for Panasas, a Carlyle portfolio company in the data storage industry. David's operating experience also includes marketing, business development and corporate development roles in leading enterprise technology companies ONI Systems, CIENA, Cisco and Proxim. David is a Board Member, past President and past Chairman of the Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA), which is the oldest and largest pan-Asian, cross-border technology executive network in Silicon Valley. He also serves on the board of the Association of Asian American Investment Managers (AAAIM). David holds a BS and an MA from Stanford University, and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Berdakin holds a Bachelors of Science from Northwestern University in Political Science with a specific interest in campaigning on the social web. He also serves as Advisor at Troy Capital Partners. He is also an Angel Investor.

Marco DeMeireles

Marco DeMeireles is a Principal at Balyasny Asset Management, focused on public and private technology investments across Consumer Internet, Digital Media, Enterprise Software, HCIT and IT Infrastructure businesses globally. Marco has sourced and led the Firm’s current investments in Avant, Coinbase, Cuebiq, Orbital Insight, Outcome Health (fka ContextMedia), and Peloton where he serves as Balyasny’s shareholder representative. At BAM, Marco's investment experience spans Venture Capital, Growth Equity, Public Equities (equity long/short) and personal LP investments into leading fund managers. Prior to joining BAM, Marco was with Technology Crossover Ventures, focused on growth stage investments, and began his career in Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division advising Technology clients based in Menlo Park. While at Morgan Stanley, Marco worked with companies in the storage, hardware, software, security, digital media and consumer internet sectors on a variety of transactions including public equity offerings (Palo Alto Networks), debt financings (Rovi, HP), leveraged buyouts (Dell/Quest) and strategic M&A assignments (Cisco/Meraki). Marco began his career as an Analyst in Morgan Stanley's New York office, with prior work experience at Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers. Marco holds a B.A. in Economics with a Concentration in Leadership Studies from Williams College.
